Injection Moulding

Extensive range of materials
Cox Plastics are able to mould in a wide range of commodity materials and engineering plastics. Through extensive consultation we can advise you on the best choice of material for your application.

Component design facilities
We offer a full component design consultancy as well as stereolithographics, vacuum casting and prototyping.

As part of our commitment to staying at the leading edge of moulding technology Cox Plastics have invested in Moldflow™ software. Moldflow™ allows components and tooling to be optimised prior to cutting steel, thus saving time and expense. Our right first time philosophy reduces time to market and keeps tooling work to a minimum.

Production flexibility
With 15 injection presses ranging from 50 to 550 tonne closing pressure, we can offer maximum cost effectiveness on both short and long run projects.

Toolmaking, maintenance and repair
Cox Plastics have tool maintenance and repair facilities in-house. We also provide customers with a full project design and management service for new tooling.

Assembly and Finishing

Cox Plastics efficient and flexible workforce enables the company to provide cost effective assembly and finishing services, including gluing, screwing, ultrasonic welding and Tampo™ printing.

Is injection moulding right for you?
Even with the very wide range of engineering materials and fillings (glass, carbon and steel fibres) some components may be better manufactured by diecasting. Cox Plastics is part of the PC Cox Group that includes a major supplier of pressure diecastings.
