Cox Plastics has clean room facilities designed for the production of medical components with air filtration enabled by Hepa filters.

We have 4 highly accurate electric Demag IntElect moulding machines. Of our two 50 tonne machines, one has a 14mm screw that enables the production of very small components moulded with great precision. The other machines are 100 tonne and a 150 tonne respectively, all equipment is capable of moulding commodity and engineering polymers.

Incorporating hot run controllers these machines have in built programmes enabling settings to be saved with the moulding data. Twin core pull circuits are connected to each machine and the material is fed through desiccant drying facilities (outside of the moulding area). The machines are also fitted to colour dosing units for accurate colour repeatability.

Production
Production count is monitored both by the machine controller and by the part conveying system.
